Welcome to Maen Llwyd...

Maen Llwyd is a spacious, detached, self-catering cottage in the heart of Mid Wales. The cottage sleeps 8 (4 bedrooms), and has its own private driveway and a large enclosed rear garden. A two-minute walk from the house will take you to a lovely, friendly village pub with a contemporary restaurant using locally sourced produce.

Downstairs in Maen Llwyd

The cosy contemporary kitchen/dining room is the perfect place to socialise and relax as a family or group of friends.

 

The triple aspect living room has been comfortably arranged around an imposing fireplace with wood burner, although the efficient air source heat pump and under floor central heating will keep you warm, whatever the weather. 

 

For those who enjoy exercise, we also have a private gym which is available for use by prior arrangement (over 16's only)..

Amenities & Services

  • ​Living room: With wood burner, 50" Smart TV, Xbox 360 and wooden floor.

  • Kitchen/dining room: With double electric oven, electric hob, microwave, air fryer, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, TV, tiled floor and French doors leading to garden.

  • Utility room: With washing machine, sink.

  • Elan Valley bedroom: Kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request).

  • Separate toilet.

  • Underfloor heating throughout.

Upstairs in Maen Llwyd

The three upstairs bedrooms are all very spacious with great views of the Welsh countryside. Each bedroom has a wardrobe and draw space, bedside lamps and a hair dryer.

 

The beds are dressed with crisp white cotton bed linen. There are two large bathrooms (one ensuite), both with bath, shower cubicle and toilet. Super soft white towels are provided, along with bath/shower gel.

  • ​Rhayader bedroom: Super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request).

  • Llandrindod Wells bedroom: With kingsize bed, TV and en-suite .

  • Builth Wells bedroom: With kingsize bed

  • Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

  • Towels and shower gel provided.

  • Radiators in each room.​​
